These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the dtoxy mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By downloading or using dtoxy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
dtoxy uses AI to read product labels and identify products, and returns an estimated toxicity score for ingredients and the overall product. These scores are AI-generated estimates for informational purposes only and are not medical, nutritional, or professional advice. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always read the actual product label and consult a qualified professional for decisions about allergies, diet, health conditions, or safety. Never rely on dtoxy in an emergency.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be the minimum age required in your region to use the Service. You sign in with your email via a one-time code; you are responsible for keeping access to that email secure and for activity under your account.
3. dtoxy Pro subscriptions
- Auto-renewing. dtoxy Pro is an auto-renewable subscription offered as a monthly or annual plan. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The current price and plan length are shown in the app and on the App Store at the time of purchase, which are authoritative.
- Manage or cancel. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- What Pro includes. Personalized scoring from your health profile, no ads, and a monthly deep-research allowance. Free-plan limits (including the number of free research scans per month) are described in the app and may change.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple; refund requests are subject to Apple’s policies. Unused portions of a free trial, if offered, are forfeited on purchase of a subscription.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the app except as permitted by law.
- Use the Service to violate any law or another person’s rights.
- Submit content that is unlawful or that you have no right to submit.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by dtoxy and its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You retain rights to the content you provide.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results are accurate, complete, or reliable.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, dtoxy and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or its scores. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account (see Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service.
9. Changes
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective” date above. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of dtoxy is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
